Legia Nadwiślańska/ Vistula Legion

Pomimo sesji i prac nad makietą domu, nie zaniedbuję Legii Nadwiślańskiej. Zacząłem już malować drugi batalion. Zamierzam odtworzyć całą Legię w składzie, w jakim walczyła w Hiszpanii, a później także w kampanii 1812 roku, a więc 4 pułki piechoty i pułk lansjerów. Każdy pułk piechoty dzielił się na dwa bataliony, a lansjerzy- na cztery szwadrony. Na potrzeby gier bitewnych zachowam podział piechoty, lecz kawalerię podzielę na 2 regimenty, każdy w sile dwóch szwadronów. Za wzór umundurowania służy mi ta tablica:
Although the exams and works on my house model, I don't forget about Vistula Legion. I began to paint the second battalion. I intend to restore the entire Legion in the composition, which it fought in Spain, and later in the campaign of 1812, so it'll be four regiments of infantry and a regiment of lancers. Each infantry regiment was divided into two battalions, and the Lancers-to four squads. For wargames I will keep the partition of infantry, but cavalry will be divided into two regiments, each in the strength of two squadrons. As the example of uniforms I use this table:

Piechota Legii Nadwiślańskiej wsławiła się m.in. podczas obu oblężeń Saragossy, w bitwie pod Belchite, oblężeniu Leridy. Po prawie 2 latach walk w Hiszpanii, Legia wzięła udział w kampanii rosyjskiej- prowadząc działania osłonowe poniosła stosunkowo niewielkie straty. W czasie bitwy pod Lipskiem, Pułk Piechoty Nadwiślańskiej, utworzony ze zdziesiątkowanych 4 pułków Legii, wchodząc w skład dywizji gen. Dąbrowskiego mężnie odpierał ataki przeważających sił koalicyjnych pod Pfaffendorf i bramą Hallską.
Vistula Legion Infantry became famous during the two sieges of Zaragoza, in the battle of Belchite, Lerida siege. After nearly two years of fighting in Spain, the Legion took part in the the Russian campaign where it suffered relatively small losses. During the Battle of Leipzig, Vistula Infantry Regiment, formed from the decimated four regiments of the Legion, as a part of the Division of General Dąbrowski bravely resisted the attacks of coalition forces in Pfaffendorf and Halle's gate.

Najsławniejszym osiągnięciem Lansjerów Nadwiślańskich było rozbicie trzech brytyjskich regimentów i zdobycie 5 flag pułkowych w bitwie pod Albuerą (16.05.1811).
Vistula Lancers most famous achievement was to break three British regiments and capture five regimental flags in the the Battle of Albuera (16.05.1811).
